the weight of breath

This was originally going to be an older Hisoka, but this cropped version has taken on a life of its own. This has now become a scene that I've been imagining for a currently non-existent Book 3. After Hisoka's death and ascent to the higher realm, refinements of him took refuge deep within the Fire Sanctuary. Neither living nor dead, he merely existed as a statue in a secret--and highly protected--area of the sanctuary.

A bunch of stuff happens, pieces of his soul are forced back in place, and he begins to awaken...but very much against his will. He's lived his life. He's done his duty. He should not exist in the world again and yet circumstances make it so; which is why he's very emotional upon awaking. How heavy the burden must be, never being able to stop history from repeating itself. The eternal life of a god is more a curse than a blessing...and that's the first thing on his mind as he awakens. So sad.
